your daily (christmas) quote

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.

Last night we went to John's department's Christmas party. I really enjoy this party as its very nice and well done. I just remembered that I won the poinsettia from our table and forgot to bring it home (oops!). However, it was good to chat with some people from his department and their spouses, also the good food didn't hurt either :)

your daily (christmas) quote

Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.

your daily (christmas) quote

Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we're here for something else besides ourselves.

cranberry orange cookies

Now ya'll should know that I don't really consider something a dessert unless chocolate is one of the main ingredients. Due to a large amount of cranberries that I was given (thank you!) I decided to search for a cranberry dish for a new type of treat. These cookies are delicious!!! I have reviews from myself and at least three other people that think these are some of the best cookies they've ever had. Now that's a pretty big freaking deal. I hope you try them and let me know if you enjoy them! You can find the recipe here.

Dixie wondering what the heck I'm doing setting up a photography set for these cookies and why the heck one isn't in her belly right now.
